According to news reports, Pen Studios has acquired the theatrical, satellite and digital rights of Suriya and Disha Patani starrer for a whopping amount of Rs 100 crore – One of the highest ever for Tamil Film.
South superstar Suriya Sivakumar is currently shooting for a film with director Siva, opposite Bollywood star Disha Patani as the lead actress. As per latest reports, the theatrical and digital rights of the Suriya and Disha Patani film, which is tentatively titled Suriya 42, have been bagged by Dr Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios, as per a report in PinkVilla.
The entertainment portal quoted a source saying, “Pen Studios has acquired the Hindi rights of Suriya 42 for a sum of Rs 100 crore. This is the biggest buy till date for a Suriya film in Hindi as also one of the biggest buys till date for a Pan-India film from the Tamil Film Industry. Suriya and Disha Patani Film Suriya 42 Hindi
The source further added, “In technical terms, the filmmaker has acquired the Hindi Rights of Suriya 42. Conventionally, Suriya’s films have done well in the satellite market in Hindi belts, and his next being a mega budget film, has fetched good offers from various satellite and digital partners”. In September, The makers have already announced that the movie will be released in 10 languages and also in 2D and 3D formats. Studio Green and UV Creations jointly producing this biggie, which has Devi Sri Prasad’s music.
