Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Navika Kotian who plays Maya, a third wheel in Akshara-Abhimanyu’s love story, reacts to her being part of the show.
Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod in the leading roles. The handsome hunk essays the role of Abhimanyu while the dive essays the role of Akshara. They are of course lovers in the show and fans fondly call them AbhiRa. It was just a few weeks ago that the show witnessed a leap. It saw Akshara and Abhimanyu getting separated. Now, in the show, after a year, Abhimanyu and Akshara have finally come face-to-face. The characters have met.
Post leap, the show has seen a new entry, Dr. Kunal’s sister has entered the show. As we know already, Dr. Kunal had put a condition in front of Akshara to cure Abhimanyu’s nerve damage that she will have to lend her voice to his sister and made her reach fame and popularity. And Akshu agreed to it as she had no other option. The actress who plays Maya in the show has now reacted to being part of the popular show and revealed that her character will unfold its true colors as the story evolves. Talking to IndiaForums, Navika revealed, “Maaya is an interesting character. She has a lot of depth. What I love the most about it is the variations and layers she has. She is extremely passionate to an extent where she’s almost obsessed with her ambition and will do everything possible to achieve her goal. As the story unfolds, the audience will get to see new facets of Maaya.”
The actress also talked about how YRKKH is important in her career and what she likes about the show, “Becoming a part of YRKKH is a great opportunity. The show cuts across age groups. Everyone knows about the show and I have seen people humming the title track. YRKKH has furthered my career and I can vouch that every actor would love to be a part of such an iconic serial. Rajan (Shahi) sir’s Director’s Kut Productions is a wonderful production house with an amazing and hardworking team. The set feels like home.” She added.
