Sangram Samel is currently playing the role of Shankar Maharaj in the series ‘Yogayogeshwar Jaishankar’ on Colors Marathi.
Sangram Samel has acted in many serials till now. But he is playing a different role first time in his career so far. The actor in his recent interview with ETimes talked about. In which he said, “I think playing the role of Shankar Maharaj is not easy. This is a huge responsibility. Shankar Maharaj’s blessings are with me and I strive to make my performance better and more perfect day by day. Shankar Maharaj was a helper of devotees. He added, “I did some workshops for the role. It helped me. Also, the descendants of Shankar Maharaj are still there and their study, documents help me a lot. I have completely stopped eating meat. This is my attempt to fit into the role. Being devotees of Shankar Maharaj, the entire team is trying their best not to hurt any of his feelings. I want to respect them too. So far Sangram has worked in serials like ‘Lalit 205’, ‘Bapmanoos’, ‘Anandi’. He has also acted in films like ‘Sweeti Satarkar’, ‘Vicky Velingkar’. Sangram tied the knot for the second time in 2021. He is married to Shraddha Phatak.
