Salman Khan talked about the Box Office Success of regional as well as Hindi films at the trailer launch event of Punjabi movie Maujaan Hi Maujaan starring Gippy Grewal.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has set a new target for success in the film industry. He believes that simply crossing the “Rs 100 crore club” is now old news. According to him, movies should now aim to achieve a whopping ₹1,000 crore at the box office to be considered truly successful. Khan expressed this opinion during the trailer launch event for the upcoming Punjabi film, “Maujaan Hi Maujaan,” which stars Gippy Grewal. Salman Khan On Box Office Success
Khan stated, “Hitting the ₹100 crore mark is no longer a big achievement. Now, every industry, whether it’s Punjabi, Hindi, or even Marathi films, needs to aim for numbers between ₹400-600 crore and beyond. People are returning to theaters to watch movies again, and I believe ₹100 crore is no longer a significant milestone. The new benchmark should be ₹1,000 crore for a film.”
Maujaan Hi Maujaan is a family-friendly film directed by Smeep Kang. Gippy Grewal, who also launched the trailer of his previous release, “Carry On Jatta 3,” with Aamir Khan, expressed his delight at the recent commercial success of Punjabi films. He said, “In the past, we used to be surprised if our films made ₹10-15 crore. But now, if Salman sir is predicting big success for ‘Maujaan Hi Maujaan,’ then we can expect something extraordinary.” Also Read: Kartik Aaryan Invites Sara Ali Khan For Ganpati Celebration Dinner. To this, Khan humorously added, “Don’t pay too much attention to my predictions because, for some reason, my own films don’t always follow them.”
Maujaan Hi Maujaan, produced by Amardeep Grewal under East Sunshine Production, is set to hit cinemas on October 20.
