Maniesh Paul revealed in an interview how he was rejected by the makers to participate in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.
Popular television host and actor Maniesh Paul has made many interesting revelations about television’s superhit reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Maniesh, who has hosted many award functions and shows, has revaled the reality ‘behind the scenes’ of the show. The actor revaled he wanted to participate as a contestant in the celebrity dance show, But the makers have refused to take him.
Maniesh Paul revealed in an interview how he was refused by the makers to participate in the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa‘. In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, he told, “Jhalak has another story about which many people are not aware. In Jhalak, I wanted to be a contestant. Because I had seen that huge hoardings of contestants were put up. I wanted this for myself as well.”
Maniesh Paul said, “The makers of the show called me. I met them. But the makers said – Sorry we cannot take you because your face is not popular. We are looking for the faces that everyone knows.” The actor told that the makers had said that we do not have any bad feelings in our heart. Anyway, they will make the show as they want. However, these things definitely hurt him. But later when he got an offer as a host in this show, he signed the agreement papers within two hours. Only after this his life changed. He further shared, “So I was a bit upset, but then I was like it’s okay. I was a little angry that time. But then I got a call again. They said, ‘Maniesh, aap contestant nahin, aap ek kaam karo, aap hosting karoge?’, and I instantly agreed. They were like, hope you are not upset, and I was like not at all. They sent me a contract in two hours, I signed it and sent it back. I didn’t even read it, and that again became a turning point.”
Talking about Maniesh Paul’s work front, he made his acting debut in the year 2013 in the Bollywood film ‘Mickey Virus’ and in the year 2006 with ‘Ghost Bana Dost’. He has been awarded Best Entertainer of the Year at Just Urban Award, Best Host at Telly Awards for Indian Idol 10, PTC Film for Rising Star Entertainer of the Year. Manish is married to Sanyukta and they have a son Yuvaan and daughter Saisha. Currently, he is running his own channel on YouTube, in which he interviews big celebs. Meanwhile, the last season, ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 9’ was telecast in the year 2016-17. Now after five years its new season is about to come.
