Karan Mehra recently took to social media to slam the reports claiming that she was a part of Kangana Ranuat’s show Lock Upp. The actor called these rumours Fake.
Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming reality show ‘Lock Upp‘ has been in the limelight for quite some time now. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the show will be air on ALTBalaji and MX Player. The makers after promoting the same are now on a spree of sharing the contestant list for the audience.
Till now, three names have been out including those of– Nisha Rawal, Poonam Pandey and stand-up comic Munawar Faruqui.
Since yesterday evening, rumours of Karan Mehra entering Kangana Ranaut’s show has been buzzing on social media. Yes, many media reports said that the popular TV actor Mehra will be part of the controversial show as a contestant where his estranged wife is also going to be one of the contestant. For those unversed, the television actor was in discussions last year because of her marital dispute with his ex-wife Nisha Rawal.
But now, Karan Mehra has squashed all such rumours of him entering the Lock Upp and cleared the air. A few moments ago today, Mehra took to his instagram to suspend the rumours. He clarified that he is not part of Kangan Ranaut’s shows and said that the rumours are completely baseless. Taking to his Instagram handle, the actor shared a Times Of India’s article claiming his entry in the show and wrote, “@etimes_tv let’s not mislead the general public with wrong information to gain viewership or for someone’s else’ TRPs. Be responsible being a media entity and verify your facts before putting up fake/uncertain stories like these”

Recently, When asked about Karan’s participation, his ex-wife Nisha Rawal, who is one of the contestant of the show, told IANS, “I have no apprehensions about who comes on the show. I have always fought my own battles, and I am sure that I will fight this battle with all that I have. I am here on Lock Upp on my own and I am not afraid of anybody except for failure.”
For those unversed in their past, a case had been filed against Karan based on a complaint by Nisha. Karan’s family members Ajay Mehra, Bela Mehra and Kunal Mehra had also been charged with assault and willful harassment. Further, Nisha also accused Karan of withdrawing more than Rs 1 crore from her account. Earlier, on May 31, 2020, the Mumbai Police had arrested Karan after he allegedly had a fight with his wife Nisha.
