Whereas with Disney + Hotstar’s basic plan, login facility will be available in two devices.

The purpose of this step is to address this password sharing problem. Earlier, Netflix had also restricted the option of password sharing to households only. People will have to take subscription
Currently, Disney Hotstar in India allows its premium users to login up to 10 devices. Due to this restriction, people will have to take their subscription. Because now only four people will be able to use one account. These restrictions are only for Indian users. It is being planned to be implemented by the end of this year. Although Disney Hotstar has not yet given an official statement on this.
Disney+ Hotstar on top with 50 million users
After losing the digital rights of IPL, there has been a decrease in the number of subscribers of Disney Plus Hotstar. Nevertheless, Disney + Hotstar has more than 50 million users in India and with this it is the most watched OTT platform in India. Between January 2022 and March 2023, Disney Plus Hotstar had a 38 percent share in the OTT market. Earlier, Disney Plus Hotstar had announced that users would be able to watch all the matches of Asia Cup 2023 and ICC Men’s Cricket ODI World Cup 2023 for free on the app. Through this, Disney + Hotstar also wants to achieve record viewership like Jio Cinema.
