Kangana Ranaut praises ISRO’s female scientists for their simple attire during India’s historic Moon landing on August 23.
People across the country were filled with joy when India achieved a significant milestone by successfully landing its spacecraft, Chandrayaan-3, on the Moon’s South Pole on August 23. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who had cheered on this historic event, has now praised the female scientists of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for their down-to-earth approach.
Kangana shared a picture on her Instagram stories where she highlighted that the prominent female scientists at ISRO were wearing traditional clothing, including bindis (decorative forehead markings) and sindoor (vermilion powder). Appreciating their simplicity, she wrote, “India’s top scientists, all adorned with bindi, sindoor, and mangal sutra (a traditional necklace)… a perfect example of living simply while thinking big… the true essence of being Indian,” accompanied by national flag emojis. On August 23, India achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the fourth country in the world to land a spacecraft on the Moon, following the United States, Russia, and China. What made this achievement even more special was that India’s spacecraft landed near the lunar South Pole, a location that had seen a Russian mission crash just days before India’s successful landing.
