Yami Gautam, who recently tied the knot with director Aditya Dhar, shared another set of photos from their wedding festivities today (June 6). one of the photographs is from Yami’s haldi ceremony, while others seem to be from kalire ceremony. While the images from the haldi ceremony feature Yami in a yellow salwar kameez, in the other photos she is seen in a red saree with a nose ring, earrings and long golden kalires tied around her bangles. The actress is seen smiling ear-to-ear in all the photographs. Her Ginny Weds Sunny’s co-star Vikrant Massey compared her to Radhe Maa.
After sharing photos from the marriage mandap and mehendi, Yami Gautam today (June 6) shared another set of pictures from her haldi and kalire ceremony. In one photo, Yami is seen smiling while her sister puts haldi on her face.
In other photos, Yami is seen wearing a red sari with a golden embroidered red dupatta. She also flaunts her traditional jewellery consisting of a nose ring, earrings and kalire. Kalire are long, hanging jewellery pieces worn by a bride on her hands on her day. they’re considered to provide good wishes to the bride and remind her of her friends and cousins.
Vikrant Massey, who worked with Yami Gautam in the 2020 film Ginny Weds Sunny, dropped a hilarious comment on her post. Comparing Yami’s look to that of the self-styled Indian godwoman Radhe Maa. He wrote, “Pur & pious like Radhe Maa! (sic).”
Surilie also shared a bunch of pictures with Yami, she wrote, “Love Light and Happiness #yamiadityawedding #mahendi #love #family #blessings #mybeautifulsister.” in the photos, Yami is seen during a yellow suit with her hair wiped out a plait. Surilie is in a pink suit and is seen with her short hair left loose for the event.
Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar worked together on Uri: The surgical strike. The film stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. While Aditya Dhar directed the film, Yami played the female lead.
