Recently, the actress expressed her disappointment as how people click photos with her and later ask her “Aap actor ho (Are you an actor)?” On Friday, Rubina tweeted, “Some first take pictures and later ask ‘Madam kaunse serial mein kaam kiya hai? Recently, Rubina Dilaik spoke about an incident in 2011 when she was made to pay a whopping amount of money as penalty. Narrating the incident, Rubina told Bollywood Bubble, “My payments were due for nine months. I used to call my production house and producers, visit their office and plead them to pay me because I had to pay EMIs for my house.”
She said that one day she came to realise that the payments were not being made as she had to pay a certain amount in penalties. “I get this ledger sort of thing with uplinks, which you file when the shoot get delayed and you have to pay penalty,” Rubina said, and went onto narrate how she was made to pay penalties worth Rs 16 lakh. “None of these events were true,” the Shakti actor claimed, adding that the episode became a lesson for her, but she has “no regrets, no complaints.” However, she admitted that she was “devastated” when all of this happened to her. “I had to sell off my first house in the city. I didn’t buy a house since then. I was way behind my commitments and EMIs. I sold off my car. That is when I decided I don’t want to live in uncertainty, insecurity and constant anxiety,” she replied, adding that she “didn’t have work for two years.” She decided never to purchase a house again, and live only on rent. “I had two houses at that time, I had to sell them off.” Also Read: Rubina Dilaik Gives A Befitting Reply To ‘Pseudo Fans’ Who Troll Her For Being Fat & Not Doing ‘Big Projects’
Meanwhile, Rubina Dilaik is all set to make her Bollywood debut with the Hindi movie Ardh, which also features Hiten Tejwani and actor Rajpal Yadav. The film, which marks the directorial debut of music composer-singer Palaash Muchhal, is scheduled to release later this year.
