Television actress Rubina Dilaik, currently expecting her first child, has become the target of social media trolls following her call to refrain from bursting crackers post-Diwali. The Shakti and Bigg Boss star took to X [formerly Twitter], expressing concerns about pollution and the continuous bursting of crackers days after the festival.
In a tweet, Dilaik urged people to stop bursting crackers, stating, “To whomsoever it may Concern! Diwali is OVER, Stop bursting crackers … since 10th November, non-stop crackers have been burnt till 3 am in the morning. ENOUGH NOW…. Air pollution toh hai hi …. Noise pollution is killing our sleep.”

She added another tweet emphasizing the cultural aspect, saying, “Diwali is a festival of lights, a celebration of Shree Ram returning to Ayodhya! Well, Ramayan mein bursting crackers for 10 days was never mentioned.”
In response to accusations of being “anti-Hindu,” Dilaik shared another tweet, “Anti Hindu ??? Are you guys seriously out of your mind,” adding a face with rolling eyes emoji.
Undeterred, despite a barrage of threats, Dilaik shared screenshots on Instagram, addressing the trolls directly.
Meanwhile, on the personal front, Rubina is expecting her first child with husband Abhinav Shukla. The two met on the sets of Choti Bahu. They had their fairytale wedding in the quaint town of Shimla on June 21, 2018. However, their marriage hit a rough patch during the Covid-19 lockdown phase, and they contemplated divorce. But, the two decided to give their relationship a last chance as they were approached for Bigg Boss 14 together. The show helped them reconcile and the two became stronger together. Rubina and Abhinav are soon going to welcome a baby in their lives and the videos and photos from their maternity shoot are already doing rounds on social media.
