TV actress Anagha Bhosale, who recently bid adieu to acting, revealed that the pressure to look thin on television affected her mental health.
TV star Anagha Bhosale aka Nandini from Star Plus’ Anupama has been hogging all the limelight ever she announced that she has quit the world of showbiz. She shared a post on social media to inform her fans that she has quit acting. The talented actress requested her followers to support and respect her decision to leave the entertainment industry.

The Dadi Amma, Dadi Amma Maan Jao actress, while talking to a portal, opened up about her decision to quit showbiz. She said that she was obsessed with the idea of looking perfect in front of the camera and got scared seeing food on her plate. The actress, who is currently spending time with her family members in Pune, said that she used to feel guilty every time a dish was placed on her plate.
“Every time I saw a tasty dish or something was placed on my plate, I felt guilty about eating it. I was always scared that I would put on weight. The whole situation got worse when I actually felt like throwing up whatever I ate, so that I don’t put on weight,” Anagha told ETimes. Also Read: OMG! The actress further said that people would tell her that she looked ‘thin in real life’ but looked ‘chubby on television. “This was affecting me and I realised that I had to fix this obsession to look perfect,” she told the portal.

In her post, Anagha Bhosale said that she took the decision to say goodbye to the TV industry due to her religious beliefs and spiritual path. “I really do hope that you all will definitely respect and support my decision. I did take this decision due to my religious beliefs and spiritual path,” a part of her statement read.
