Bollywood singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh recently opened up about his depression and bipolar disorder.
Popular singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is one of the most popular names in the music industry. Throughout the years the singer gave some remarkable performances with some blockbuster tracks like “Lungi Dance”, “Blue Eyes”, “Chaar Bottle Vodka” and many others. However, the singer witnessed a downfall in his career after he was diagnosed with depression.
Addressing the same Honey Singh told Siddharth Kannan, “When I fell ill a lot of things were going on in life. I had the SLAM tour with Shah Rukh Khan. I had worked on a Star Plus project, I chose its name. I designed it for a year. When the show started, a lot of work was there. I was also doing a Punjabi film. A lot of things were happening. When I collapsed, when I had bipolar disorder and psychotic symptoms on set of Raw Star, I said there is some problem in my brain, something has happened. Yo Yo Honey Singh On His Comeback
Talking about getting body shamed due to his weight gain Singh added, “It took me five years, I got better. I then wanted to make music. I told my mother, I’m unable to do anything. She told me, ‘You started as a music producer, start writing beats’. My songs became hits, I was making a comeback, but was facing failures. Honey Singh started off his career with song `Begani Nazar`in the year 2006, which was sung by fellow Punjabi rapper Badshah. He next collaborated with Diljit Dosanjh in 2011 and released `Lak 28′. Honey Singh then delivered several chartbuster hits. His debut song in Bollywood films was “Shakal Pe Mat Ja”, featuring Gagan Sidhu.
His latest is remix of the legendary 1990s hit song from the film Yai Re (Rangeela). In the party remix of the song, the rapper is joined by model and Salman Khan’s rumoured girlfriend Iulia Vantur.
