Bollywood actress Yami Gautam Dhar joined hands with the Himachal Pradesh government for their initiative, ‘Baccho Ka Sahara, Phone Humara’ on Friday.

As our country, due to a very large population lacks technological opportunities for the lower middle class or underprivileged sections of the society. Yami Gautam Dhar comes forward in this unprecedented time to help the weaker sections of our society. Yami Joins hands with the Himachal Pradesh Government for the ‘Baccho ka Sahara, Phone Humara’ initiative.
The State Government launched it under the Samgra Shiksha Abhiyan and Yami Gautam also attended the launch event which was hosted virtually. Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur headed the campaign under the presence of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, on Friday, 16th July. The actress, who is the face of the cause, urged everyone to come forward and donate spare smartphones for underprivileged children.
Yami took her social media Twitter to handle to make people aware of the much-needed initiative and wrote, “I am delighted to be a part of India’s first state-led phone donation campaign for online learning – ‘Digital Saathi- Baccho ka Sahara, Phone Humara’, an initiative of Samagra Shiksha, Himachal Pradesh.”

However, the initiative is running successfully as for the noble cause many citizens and stakeholders came forward to take part by donating smartphones. More than 1100 mobile phones have already been donated by various stakeholders till now.
Meanwhile on the work front, Yami has as many as eight releases lined up. Yami Gautam will be seen in Dasvi with Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur. Apart from that A Thursday, Bhoot Police, and recently announced Lost.
