Aamir Khan joined Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee with Karan’ in 2013. In this show, he made a very funny disclosure about his personal and professional life. One of them was related to the film ‘Andaz Apna Apna’.
For the unversed, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ was released in the year 1994. The comedy of Aamir-Salman in the film tickled the people a lot, but you will be surprised to know that at one point of time there was a lot of distance between the two. The rift between the two was very much discussed in the media. It is said that during the shooting of the film, the relationship between the two was not good at all. During the episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’, Aamir Khan spoke openly about this and told that his experience with Salman Khan was not good at all. He often tried to keep his distance from him. He had said, ‘Working with Salman in Andaz Apna Apna was not a good experience for me. Then I used to consider him arrogant and not caring for others. That’s why I used to stay away from them. There was no contact of me and Salman after the shooting.
In the show, Aamir Khan also made it clear that when he was going through a bad time, Salman Khan helped him a lot. He said, “Salman walked into my life when I was at my lowest. I had gone through a divorce with my wife. But later we bumped into each other and he expressed his wish to meet me. We met again and drank together and we connected. And it began as a genuine friendship and it has only grown.” Since then, the two Khans have often rooted for each other’s work, and continue to praise each other.
