Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has enjoyed a successful run over the years. The show stars Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutta, Raj Anadkat amongst others. all of those actors have enjoyed unprecedented with their amazing portrayals. But one one that will always remain the foremost memorable is Disha Vakani.
Disha wont to play the role of Dayaben within the Sab TV sitcom. From her signature ‘Hey maa maataji’ to her ‘Tapu ke papa’ – fans miss everything about her character. Vakani took a maternity break in September 2017 and never came back. Rumours are rife that she was in negotiation with the makers but things couldn’t work out! Her comeback remains uncertain till date!

There might be possibility that Disha Vakani might not return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah but a replacement are often done. it’s been reported that the makers had previously looked for an apt actress but couldn’t match the standards that Disha had set. Now, Naagin 4 actress Rakhi Vijan has expressed her desire to play Dayaben.
In a conversation with TOI, Rakhi Vijan shared, “Nobody are often Dayaben as she’s still iconic. But given an opportunity, i might like to take up that character and challenge myself as an actor. i might like to make my audience laugh again.”

We have previously seen Rakhi entertain fans together with her classic characters like Sweety Mathur in Hum Paanch. She surely has it in her to require the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah world to subsequent level. However, will Disha Vakani fans be okay with that? We’re unsure about that!
Meanwhile, Taarak Mehta has recently witnessed tons of replacements. Sunayana Fozdar replaced Neha Mehta to play the role of Anjali. Palak Sidhwani and Raj Anadkat had also previously replaced Nidhi Bhanushali as Sonu and Bhavya Gandhi (Tapu).
Meanwhile, reacting to Disha Vakani’s exit from the show, Jethalal aka Dilip Joshi told Bombay Times earlier, “Two years ago, when Disha announced that she was happening maternity leave, we were apprehensive about how the show will continue because Jethalal and Daya are crucial thereto. it’s not that an actor can’t get replaced. within the past, too, there are such cases. for instance, when Ronit Roy replaced Amar Upadhyay in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, many had wondered if the show would continue. But the very fact is, the show goes on. Having said that, Kyunki… was a family drama and this is often a comedy show. it’s important that the actor, who replaces Disha, has good comic timing and fits the character.”
