Salman Khan On OTT content Censorship: At the 68th Filmfare Awards 2023 Press conference, the 57-year-old opined that OTT content should be ‘censored.’
Salman Khan, the superstar of Indian Cinema has fans accorss the globe and in every age category. His personality and screen pressence has fans’ hearts. Primarily known for his action movies, Salman has also done some cult romantic flicks that have made records at the box office and also set the bar high for many. The superstar has also managed the record of ‘no onscreen kissing’ for his entire career so far and that’s what makes him the most loved superstar of India.
The Tiger 3 actor recently voiced his thoughts about why ‘clean content’ is healthier for streaming platforms. He expressed his displeasure towards the vulgarity on the OTT platform and requested filmmakers to avoid ‘Gaalu galauch’ on the platform. Salman Khan On OTT content Censorship
In the press conference, Salman Khan added that there should be censorship of the content. He said, “I think the first one to start this off was Ram Gopal Varma, one of the first few to do that kind of stuff on OTT. After that people started watching it and I just think that I don’t believe in that kind of content. I mean I have been here since 1989 and I have never done any of this kind of stuff so I just think that there should be a censor on OTT and all this vulgarity, nudity, ‘gaali galoch’ (abusive words) should stop.”
Salman Khan Upcoming Movies 23-24
Salman’s upcoming film is Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan directed by Farhad Samji. The cast also includes Pooja Hegde, Palak Tiwari, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Siddharth Nigam, Jassi Gill and Shehnaaz Gill. This will be the second time the fans will get to see Tere Naam co-stars Salman and Bhumika re-share the screen space. Next in the pipeline are the third installment of the Tiger franchise, also starring Katrina Kaif. Salman reportedly also has a film which will mark his second full-fledge film with Shah Rukh Khan. The two were starred in Karan-Arjun and now if reports are to be believed, the two will have a face-off in YRF next Tiger Vs Pathaan.
