Urfi Javed, the enigmatic actress-influencer, recently found herself in the center of a brewing controversy that had the entire nation buzzing. On November 3, Friday, Mumbai Police took action against Uorfi and four others for posting a viral video that allegedly portrayed her being detained by two female police officers for wearing what they deemed as “vulgar clothes” in public. However, as it turns out, this captivating video was nothing more than a cleverly staged publicity stunt.
The Mumbai Police, known for their adept use of social media platforms, confirmed the registration of a case against Urfi Javed and the others involved, not only for their blatant misuse of police insignia and uniform but also for the defamation caused to the department itself. The official statement from the Mumbai Police was posted on their official social media handles, dispelling any doubts about the authenticity of the viral video.
Mumbai Police Take Action Against Uorfi
“One Can’t Violate Law Of The Land, For Cheap Publicity! A viral video of a woman being allegedly arrested by Mumbai Police, in a case of obscenity is not true – insignia & uniform have been misused,” read the statement. It emphasized the importance of respecting the law and the consequences of seeking cheap publicity through misleading actions.
The statement continued to explain that a criminal case had been registered against those involved in the video under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including sections 171 (wearing garb or carrying token used by public servant with fraudulent intent), 419 (cheating by personation), 500 (defamation), and 34 (common intention). Furthermore, Mumbai Police disclosed that the fake inspector featured in the video had been apprehended, and the vehicle used in the deceptive act was seized.
Urfi Javed Arrest By Fake Police Viral Video
For those unfamiliar with the viral video, it depicted Uorfi Javed standing in front of a café when two lady police officers approached her. They informed her that she was being arrested for wearing attire that they considered too revealing for public spaces. Despite Uorfi’s (aka Urfi) attempts to defend herself, she ultimately complied with the officers’ instructions. This footage sparked immediate speculation among netizens, primarily because the lady officers in question did not adhere to the standard dress code and arrived at the scene in a regular vehicle rather than an official police car. Uorfi, meanwhile, appeared to be waiting for the officers to arrive.
As the truth came to light, it became evident that Mumbai Police had not taken any real action against the controversial actress. Instead, the entire incident was part of an orchestrated attempt to gain notoriety. This incident serves as a reminder of the power of social media in today’s world, as even fake incidents can gain significant traction and stir controversy. The consequences of such actions, as exemplified by the legal actions taken against Uorfi Javed and her associates, underscore the importance of responsible and ethical use of social media platforms.
