Tony Kakkar, Aparshakti Khurana Jubin Nautiyal And More Support Yo Yo Honey Singh in domestic Violence Case: After Yo Yo Honey Singh broke his silence of the domestic violence allegations levelled against him and his family members by his wife Shalini Talwar, many celebrities came out in support of him.
The life of singer-rapper-music composer Hirdesh Singh aka Yo Yo Honey Singh has always been in controversy. Earlier, it was his behaviour and alleged drug usage that made him a part of several controversies and now, his wife, Shalini Talwar has filed a domestic violence case against him in Delhi. It was on August 3, when Shalini registered a case against the singer in Tis Hazari’s court before Ms Tania Singh, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate.
The case has been lodged under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. In her complaint, Shalini alleged that Honey Singh would ‘mercilessly beat’ her and she was subjected to ‘physical, emotional, mental and verbal abuse’ on numerous occasions. Not just that, she also claimed that he had ‘sexual relationships’ with various women and even during the shoot of Brown Rang, he was sexually involved with a female colleague.
Then, on August 6, Yo Yo Honey Singh took to social media and released an official statement. Although he refrained from commenting on the allegations, he did share that he is “deeply pained and distressed by the false and malicious allegations” levied against him and his family. “The allegations are severely odious,” wrote the singer.

After Honey Singh issued the statement and it went viral on the web, his fans and industry friends took to the comment section and showed their support. Bollywood actor Aparshakti Khurana took to the comment section and wrote, “#StayStrong Paaji. Waheguru meher karey.” Singer Jubin Nautiyal wrote, “This too shall pass babaji, don’t worry.” “Always there to support you paahji God is with you,” commented Neha Kakkar’s brother and singer Tony Kakkar. Many are sending messages for Honey Singh and his post has garnered more than three lakh likes.
A part of his note reads, “I have never issued a public statement or press note in the past despite being subjected to harsh criticism for my lyrics, speculation on my health, & negative media coverage in general. However, I see no merit in maintaining a studied silence this time because some of the allegations have been directed at my family – my old parents and younger sister – who have stood by me during some very difficult and trying times and comprise my world. The allegations are cynical and defaming in nature.”
Honey Singh and Shalini got married on January 23, 2011, after secretly dating each other for almost two decades. In 2014, in an episode of the reality show, India’s Raw Star, the singer-rapper introduced Shalini to the world.
