It is a proud day for Indians today! Mirabai Chanu created history by winning the silver medal in weightlifting at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Congratulations are pouring in from all quarters for Mirabai and ever since the news broke, Bollywood actors have been leaving no stone unturned to celebrate the occasion by posting congratulatory messages for Mirabai on social media.

After Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and others posted their wishes, Good Newwz actress Tisca Chopra also shared a congratulatory tweet for Mirabai Chanu but got heavily trolled since she posted Indonesian weightlifter Aisah Windy Cantika’s photo instead of Mirabai’s. Twitterati called out the tweet and trolled the actress on the platform.

Replying to one of the trolls that said “She is not Mirabai Chanu. She is the Indonesian lifter who won bronze”

Another wrote, “Putting the wrong image for a national hero is so disrespectful.”

A user wrote, “I am doubtful whether Tiscaji really knows where Manipur stands in our India map.”

One tweeted, “Please check before you post. Don’t just do it for the retweets and fame.”

Tisca Chopra wrote, “Sorry – made a mistake”, followed by folded hands and red heart emoji. Her other tweet said, “Glad you guys had fun! That was a genuine mistake, am so sorry .. still doesn’t mean I am not proud of @mirabai_chanu at the #TokyoOlympics .. and of the rest of our contingent.” Check out the tweets here:

Improve your presence of mind and knowledge”, “What a shame”. Here is the previous tweet posted by Tisca that led to all the trolling:
