Sushmita Sen has now spoken publicly about how Mahesh Bhatt shattered her ambition publicly by criticising her acting abilities.
Millions throughout the globe still fall in love with Sushmita Sen, and her high-quality performances continue to keep them entertained. Recently, she recalled how director Mahesh Bhatt approached her and requested her to portray ‘Sushmita Sen in a movie’. In spite of the fact that the actress had told the director that she was incapable of acting, Mahesh Bhatt cast her in the part of a beauty queen. In a recent interview with Twinkle Khanna, the actress spoke about how director Mahesh Bhatt insulted her after her first film!

Mahesh Bhatt Insulted Sushmita Sen
Talking about the incident which made her very angry after Mahesh Bhatt insulted her, Sushmita Sen told Twinkle Khanna in an interview, “He is a fabulous director, I will give him that because he broke an ambition in front of 40 media people and 20 production guys, publicly attacking me. I started crying, ‘I told you I can’t act, why you called me for this, I don’t know how to act.’ He’s like, ‘kya leke aaye ho (what have you brought to me), playing Miss Universe like this on camera. “I got very angry and started walking off the set. He tried to hold my hand and I just snapped it and told him, ‘No, you don’t talk to me like that.’ I was walking away and he grabbed it again and said, ‘That’s anger! Go back and give it.’ And I did,” Sushmita Sen added.
Talking about Sushmita Sen being vocal about her relationships, Twinkle recalled the time when ‘famous men were claiming to be virgins’ and appreciated the former Miss Universe for being more straightforward about her personal life. Responding to it, Sushmita said on Tweak India, “If you lose yourself you are nothing that’s been my standard belief in life. Sushmita added, “Tumhara dimaag chota hain, tumhara dil chota hain, samne wala insaan chota nahin hain. Tumhe kya lagta hain humne koi galtiyain nahi ki life me? Daba ke kiya hai. Danke ki chot pe kiya hai (It’s not the person who is small, but others’ mindset and heart. You think we have not made any mistake in life? We have done plenty.) I don’t carry any guilt about them, because I never bullsh*t about them.”

Talking about the work-front, Sushmita made her OTT debut with the Disney+Hotstar series ‘Aarya’ and was praised for her strong performance.
