Sumbul Touqeer Khan’s new show “Kavya – Ek Jazba Ek Junoon” is a promising new offering on Sony TV that promises to be a captivating journey of emotions, dreams, and determination.

Sumbul Touqeer Khan made her initial foray into the world of television with a small but impactful role in the popular show “Isharo Isharo Mein.” Even in that limited screen time, her performance left an indelible mark, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating her next venture. However, it was the Star Plus show “Imlie” that served as the turning point in her career, catapulting her to the pinnacle of success. Earlier, it was just a buzz surrounding her part in it but now the actress has herself opened up about her upcoming show in a recent media interaction. Sumbul says, “The show revolves around Kavya’s journey, who is a simple girl aspiring to become an IAS officer. It’s about striking a fine balance between professional and personal lives. There were times when women had to choose between work and family but today, they balance both with elan.”
She adds, “IAS officers have a certain aura about them; they are intelligent, confident, and professional. I have a kiddish side in me, and I am mastikhor. This character is more mature than me. Considering she is completely different from Kavya, Sumbul is preparing for the character to play it with conviction. She says, “I have watched many interviews and read a lot about various IAS officers. I have realised they are intellectually strong and calm and handle every situation no matter how challenging, gracefully. So, as far as this character is concerned, I will be a work-in-progress and it will be a learning process till the end of the show.”
Apart from her television work, Sumbul has also made appearances in music videos. She reunited with her Imlie co-star Fahmaan Khan in the music video Ishq Ho Gaya and recently starred in Saazishen alongside Sumedh Mughdhakar. Beyond her acting talents, the 19-year-old has proven to be an overachiever since the beginning. The actress recently bought her dream home in Mumbai.
