Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa getting used as a backdrop in Bollywood movies as also certain South film albeit to e a lesser extent isn’t new Indian cinema. The last we saw to be shot against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa was Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer, Laxmii, for the song that was eponymously titled after the skyscraper. Well, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan is now set to become the primary Indian movie to be shot inside the Burj Khalifa. In fact, hitherto only two Hollywood movies — Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker, Jason Statham and Michelle Rodriguez’s Fast and Furious 7 — are shot at the long-lasting tower, so this is often quite the feat for a Bollywood film.
Breaking the news to Pinkvilla, a source on the brink of the assembly said, “The idea is to travel one notch above what’s already done thus far. aside from mission and Fast and Furious franchise, not many films are shot inside Burj Khalifa, and Pathan are going to be among the primary few Indian films (probably the first) to possess actual visuals of the tower from inside. an enormous scale action scene centered around Burj Khalifa is within the offing from the team of Pathan. It’s car, bike, guns, blasts, hand handy combats – prepare for action, that’s sleek and classy, at international repute in Pathan.”
“It’s a protracted action sequece designed by a world stunt team, and one can expect spectacular visuals on the screen. It’s a culmination of Siddharth Anand, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan’s vision, to shoot a huge action scene at Burj Khalifa. Don’t be surprised if you discover SRK fighting on the highest of the tower a bit like Tom Cruise, once you watch Pathan on the large screen. However, all the small print of this Burj Khalifa fight scene are kept covert,” added the source when quizzed about the sort of action sequence being planned inside the Burj Khalifa for Patha.
This will be fourth time that Shah Rukh Khan would be creating a primary for all of Indian cinema. Earlier, his Swades was the primary to be shot at NASA, followed by Jab Tak Hai Jaan being the first to be shot at Discovery Channel headquarters, after which Fan became the first Indian film to be shot at Madam Tussauds.
