Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s mother Sunanda Shetty has lodged a cheating complaint in a Rs 1.6 crore land deal case amid the ongoing pornography-racked case against Raj Kundra.
Amid her daughter Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s name being embroiled in the pornography-related case filed against Raj Kundra, Sunanda Shetty on Thursday has lodged a cheating complaint with the Mumbai Police in a Rs 1.6 crore land deal case.
As per Mumbai Police, Sunanda Shetty has claimed that Sudhakar Ghare, the accused, sold land to her by using fake papers. Following this, the case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC, reports ANI.
Meanwhile, Raj Kundra’s bail plea was rejected yesterday. Kundra, a British national who was arrested by the Mumbai Police on July 19, will remain in judicial custody till August 10, as ordered by the magistrate court on Tuesday.
Kundra, through senior advocate Abad Ponda, had filed a separate petition in the Bombay High Court challenging his arrest, which he contended was “illegal”, and appealed to quash all the orders of the Metropolitan Magistrate Court remanding him to police and then judicial custody.
However, on Tuesday, Justice A.S. Gadkari refused to grant any interim relief to Kundra before hearing the police version in the matter. The next hearing is scheduled for Thursday (July 29).
