Shefali Jariwala opens up about her divorce: ‘It is very important to understand that you are not being appreciated’

In a recent interview Kaanta Laga actress Shefali Jariwala spoke about her first marriage and divorce with Harmeet Singh.

Bigg Boss 13 fame Shefali Jariwala was married to Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros fame. The pair are not any longer together. The grand wedding of the duo had taken place a couple of years ago. The couple was reportedly together for five years, after which Shefali had filed for divorce, accusing Harmeet of violence.

During an interview with Times Now Digital, the actress opened about the private turmoil she underwent a few years ago when she had filed for divorce. Shefali also revealed how our society is the fear when parting ways after marriage.

Shefali said, “It is extremely important to know that you simply aren’t being appreciated. Not all kinds of violence is physical. there’s tons of mental violence that also happens and you’re very unhappy in your life. I think, one among the explanations why I could make the choice for myself, was because i was independent.

i was making my own money. the most important fear in our country is we’ve is of the society. Divorce is taken into account to be taboo but the way I even have been raised, is to not really care about society but just do what we feel is true. I could take such steps in my life and had strong support”.

For women who aren’t in happy marriages and need how out the actress said, ” Women need to understand that you need to be really independent and you have to recognise the situation you are in. Sometimes, women don’t recognise it for years together that they’re not during a happy marriage. Things can happen amicably for the higher but there are tons of individuals out there who support you. The police can intervene. we’ve great lawyers. The law of the country protects women in some ways. they need to hunt advice and be strong. they have to undertake and have a network of their own and you’ve got to make a difficult decisions to move forward in life”.

Shefali Jariwala on Marrying Parag Tyagi-

The actress later found love again and later got married to Parag Tyagi. Talking about how she met Parag, the actress revealed that they were introduced by a common friend at a banquet, who thought that Shefali and Parag were perfect for every other.

“I was single at that time.  It was an arranged sort of a date. We really liked each other a lot and hit off instantly. Parag and I are very similar and different in many ways. I think we kind of balance each other out,” she said.

Earlier, in a interview with leading daily, the actress revealed if she had any difficulties to exchange wedding vows for the seconf time, the actress told, “No, absolutely not! On the contrary, our parents wanted us to get married as soon as possible. It was a simple court marriage. None of our parents were present. It was just the two of us. As soon as we broke the news to our parents’ they felt ecstatic. We plan to have a proper shaadi (marriage ceremony) with proper pheras on our 10th wedding anniversary. Now that would be a story to tell our kids, wouldn’t it?”
