Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been a part of the film industry for years now but you ask any SRK fan to name one of their favorite films of the actor and it has to be Chak De! India. We bet there is no one who didn’t shed a few tears towards the end of the movie when SRK got-teary eyed after the women’s team won the hockey championship. Chak De! India was released in 2007 and completed 14 years of its release on August 10, 2021.
It is typical of Shah Rukh Khan to share selfies of himself to brighten up his fans’ mood. And so he did on August 12 when he shared a selfie of himself flaunting his sunnies and stubble. Though the pictures were a little hazy when there’s SRK on the frame, words such as ‘hazy’ and ‘blur’ don’t work! Sharing his selfie, SRK shared a wish for the Chak De! India team and all those were a part of the movie and made him a “Gunda”. For the unaware, this is one of the most iconic dialogues of the film which goes, “Har team mein sirf ek hi gunda ho sakta hai; aur is team ka gunda main hoon!” SRK had captioned the photo, “Just felt like thanking all the young ladies of Chak De India for making the film such a beautiful experience. And #ShimitAmin, Adi, @yrf , #MirRanjanNegi, #JaideepSahni, @sudeepchatterjee.isc , @sukhwindersinghofficial and all involved with this labour of love for making me the ‘Gunda’ of the film….”
