Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan actress Neeharika Roy aka Radha shared her excitement about her new show and about working with Shabir Ahluwalia.
Zee TV is all set to bring a new fiction offering, Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan. It is a mature romance based in modern-day Vrindavan. The show will take us on the intriguing journey of Mohan, who was once a charmer, someone who would play the flute and have everyone swooning around him. But he has somehow lost that spark and spunk along the way. He has turned into an intense, brooding man with sorrow in his eyes. In fact, Mohan carries an invisible wall around him and doesn’t let anyone in. The only person he is attached to is his mother, whom he loves. Essaying the role of this intense character will be none other than popular TV superstar Shabir Ahluwalia.
Ahead of its premier on zee tv, Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan lead actress Neeharika Roy opened up about her bond with co-star Shabir Ahluwalia. In her recent chat with TellyChakkar she revealed, “Initially, I was stunned when I was told to star opposite him as he is a big name in the television industry. I have seen his shows, I had never dreamt of working with him and was quite nervous. I am fortunate to share a screen with him. He is quite motivating and encouraging. He asks me to enjoy the process, and I feel nice after listening to his words. Recently, Shabir Ahluwalia opened up on his character and said that not only the transformation but grasping the intricacies of his character has also been a challenge for him. However, he emphasised that has helped him be a better actor. Sharing his excitement for this new project, Shabir mentions how the transformation from Kumkum Bhagya’s Abhi to Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan’s Mohan was not that easy for him. The actor says, “I have never stepped away from performing a different character. In fact, I am always excited and enthusiastic about it, playing challenging roles has always made me a better actor. I believe experimenting with one’s look and character opens various dimensions for an actor and helps them grow along with their surroundings. My new character – Mohan from Zee TV’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan is totally different from what I played when I was Abhi in Kumkum Bhagya. The story of Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan will revolve around a mature romance based in modern-day Vrindavan. Apart from Shabir, the show will also feature Niharika Roy in the lead and it will premiere on May 2.
