Priya Bapat and Umesh Kamat Love Story: The two are as different as chalk and cheese, but that doesn’t keep them from being one among the foremost loved couples off also as on screen.
He is calm and composed, she is impatient and impulsive. Well, this is often probably what makes them a balanced and powerful couple. Together for 15 years, Priya Bapat and Umesh Kamat, first met when Priya was in standard 10. From being committed at the age of 19, to starring together in films and starting their first theatre production together, the couple likes to get on an equivalent page.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Priya revealed about her meeting with Umesh. She said, “The very first time I met him was at the premiere of Chandrakant Kulkarni’s Marathi Film Bhet (2002). We didn’t meet on the sets. Umesh says that I gave him tons of attitude and didn’t acknowledge him, but he noticed me. Priya also spoke about the things she admires about her partner. She added, “I admire the very fact that he’s nothing like me. he’s extremely calm and composed, and poised always. he’s understanding and supportive. He never enforces a choice or opinion on me. On the contrary, he pushes me to require the proper decisions. Talking about What she don’t like about umesh and wants to change that is; “He is not at all expressive, so when he is low or not okay, there is no way to find out. Also, because of his poised nature he loses out on the small excitements of life. I want him to live the moments. But then again, this is what makes us a balanced pair (smiles).”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Priya was last seen in superhit bi-lingual web series, City Of Dream 2 and another Marathi web series Aani Kay Hava.
Recently, when asked about why she has not been a part of a Marathi film since Aamhi Doghi (2018). Priya told ETimes that there is a misconception that she doesn’t want to do Marathi films. Priya said, “I want to be part of good films but unfortunately after Aamhi Doghi, I haven’t got any Marathi scripts that would interest me. I have never planned anything in my career. My focus has always been that I should get to explore something different in terms of role, scale, language or production. If I do similar things, I get bored and then I feel I am not giving my 100 per cent.
