Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha got married on September 24. The actor’s stylists opened up about the wedding look the bride wanted for her big day.
On September 24, Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony held in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Following their wedding, photos and videos of the couple from the event started circulating online. The outfits they wore on their big day became a topic of discussion, with some praising their minimalist style, while others made comparisons to brides like Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani. Recently, the stylists responsible for Parineeti’s wedding look shared insights into her bridal appearance.
In an interview with ETimes, Parineeti Chopra’s stylists, Nidhi Agarwal and Shraddha Lakhani, revealed that Parineeti wanted to feel comfortable on her wedding day. She didn’t want to look overly glamorous or have people fussing over her. Nidhi said Parineeti told them, “I want to have fun. Don’t treat me like a movie star. I want to be relaxed. No one needs to hold my veil or fix my attire. I want to wear comfortable shoes, even sneakers if possible.”
Shraddha added that even Parineeti’s mehendi (henna) was simple and understated. Parineeti was okay with looking like a bridesmaid rather than the center of attention.
Parineeti’s wedding outfit was described as minimalistic, classy, and clean. It was not ivory but gold in color, reflecting her elegant taste.
Manish Malhotra, the designer of Parineeti’s outfit, revealed that she wanted to pay tribute to her grandmother by incorporating a special piece into her wedding attire. Her grandmother used to wear a challa (a symbol of being the lady of the house) with keys attached to it in her saree. The sound of the challa was meaningful to Parineeti, reminding her of her grandmother’s strength and grace.
Parineeti and Raghav are planning to host a wedding reception in Mumbai on October 4 to celebrate with their friends and well-wishers.
