A nurse working at actor Sonam Kapoor’s Delhi residence was arrested along with her husband for allegedly stealing cash and jewellery worth ₹ 2.4 crore in February, police said on Wednesday.
Actress Sonam Kapoor has been in the news lately. Along with her husband, Anand Ahuja, the actress announced that they’re expecting their first child this fall. While the entire Kapoor family is ecstatic about the upcoming addition to their family, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s Delhi residence was a victim of theft last week. Investigations were underway and it has now been revealed that a nurse and her husband have been arrested in the case. According to Bollywood Hungama, Sonam and Anand Ahuja’s Delhi home was reportedly robbed of cash and jewellery worth over USD 300,000. It has now been reported that the police have arrested a nurse who was working at the residence along with her husband for stealing. The nurse was said to be a caregiver of Sonam’s mother-in-law, whereas the nurse’s husband worked as an accountant at a private firm in Shakarpur.
A police officer shared: “The Delhi Police Crime Branch along with a team of the Special Staff Branch of the New Delhi district conducted a raid in Sarita Vihar on Tuesday night. The police also shared that the robbery occurred on February 11 – earlier this year – and the complaint was registered a few days later, on February 23 by the family members. Reports suggest that the complaint was registered at the Tughlaq Road Police Station by Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s house manager who supervises over 20 employees.
