Nora Fatehi Breaks Down as she recalls her struggle days, meeting evil people in Bollywood

Actor Nora Fatehi in an emotional interview recalled the difficulties that she faced as a struggler in Bollywood. Nora opened up about coming to India to make a name for herself and how her struggle continued for five years.

Nora Fatehi has said that she arrived in India with dreams of stardom, but her bubble burst quite quickly. Nora grew up in ‘the hood’ in Canada, and after throwing in the towel of university due to falling grades, decided that she wanted to pursue her true calling: becoming an entertainer

Nora, during a new interview, emotionally recalled her initial days in India, and said that it pains her to believe all the opposite aspiring entertainers who’ve given abreast of their dreams due to the ‘vicious’ world.


She said in an appearance on YouTuber Anas Bukhash’s show, “We were so excited then naive. once I reached India, it had been nothing like (what I had imagined). i used to be thinking I’ll get picked up by a limousine and a butler, and they are getting to take me to a set, and that i would attend my auditions therein limo. it had been nothing like that. I had the most important slap in my face. The bullying, the rejection, the traumatic experience that I went through.”

She continued, “If someone had told me that these are all the items i used to be getting to undergo — ‘You’re getting to meet evil people, they go to steal your passport, you are going to urge deported, you are going to travel back to Canada and other people are getting to tease you. How does one go from a developed country to a developing country? you are going to travel back to India, you are going to fight, learn the language, and you are going to satisfy people who’re getting to tease you on the way, they go to laugh in your face’.”

Nora said that she would be called certain auditions by casting directors who knew she wasn’t Indian, and provides her lines in Hindi, only to tease her. “They would start laughing together, high-fiving one another,” she said, thinking to herself, “How f****g dare you, wait till I leave. Don’t roll in the hay ahead of my face.” Nora said that she would counter with a ‘dirty attitude’, which made them recoil.


Nora shared snippets from the interview on Instagram, calling it “One of my most vulnerable, real and honest interviews ever.” She said that has been overwhelmed by the positive messages that she received since the interview went live, and thanked her fans for writing to her.
