Kriti Sanon on being aloof after SSR’s death; ‘didn’t want to be a part of that negativity’

Kriti Sanon has finally broken her silence on Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and revealed the rationale why she decided to stay tight-lipped all this while.

Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput featured together within the reincarnation drama Raabta, which released in June, 2017. the 2 actors were rumoured to be dating round the release of the film and reportedly parted ways later. After Sushant’s demise on 14th june, Kriti had shared a post on Instagram to mourn his death. However, she had gone quiet after a short time when there was tons of noise around. Kriti has finally broken her silence on Sushant’s death and revealed the rationale why she decided to stay tight-lipped all this while.

“At one point, there was such a lot noise around that I didn’t want to be a part of it. It reached some extent where people stopped being sensitive, and there was an excessive amount of negativity around. I didn’t want to be a part of that negativity,” Kriti told TOI.

“I knew what I felt about things and that i wanted to stay that to myself. I didn’t feel the necessity to speak to anyone about anything that i used to be feeling. Also, what you would like to mention, you’ll always say it on social media. you’ll write and express yourself rather than talking aloud.” Luka Chuppi Actress Added.

Kriti had been remembering Sushant in her own way. In January, she remembered her Raabta co-star on his 35th birth anniversary by sharing a photograph of the late actor wearing his heartwarming smile. “This is how I’ll remember you.. Smiling sort of a child! Happy Birthday Sush. I hope you’re smiling and asleep wherever you’re..” Kriti had written.

On the work front, Kriti will play diverse characters in upcoming films like Bhediya, Mimi and Adipurush. She feels now she is during a position to undertake something different and challenging.

“When you determine yourself a touch and other people are liking you and therefore the film is doing the numbers that you simply want to try to to, it gives you confidence to require up something challenging. I feel as an actor you furthermore may get bored repeating yourself and therefore the audience also gets bored seeing you in same sorts of films. Yes, there’s a deliberate plan to try do something different and not repeat yourself,” she told IANS.

She added, “I have also been lucky enough to possess liked scripts that belong to different genres. If tomorrow there are two horror comedies i’m loving, i might do both. it’s a pleasant feeling on behalf of me to try to to something different and not repeat myself.”
