Kumar’s decision was widely appreciated on social media, after which now Kannada superstar Yash has also turned down a multi-crore deal to promote a pan masala and cardamom brand. The actor has been in constant limelight after the stupendous success of KGF Chapter 2. According to Hindustan Times, the agency that handled the actor’s deals, Exid Entertainment, confirmed the news.
Yash Refused To Endorse Pan Masala
Arjun Banerjee, Talent and New Ventures Head, Exceed Entertainment, said in a press statement, “Pan masala and such products have a very harmful effect on the health of the people.” He said, ‘The use of these things can put his life in danger. It was a very heroic and sensible call taken by Yash, he has turned down the deal which was too tempting for him personally. Arjun said, “Looking at his popularity across the country, we want his popularity to be harnessed to spread the right kind of message.” He said that he wants to promote good things.
In the past, there was a lot of trolling of Akshay Kumar for the pan masala ad, however later he came out of the deal and apologized to the fans. In view of this, this decision of Yash is being highly appreciated. Earlier, Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh Khan have also come under the target of trollers due to the promotion of Pan Masala and Gutka. Apparently, he is in talks with the director for a big pan-India project and if the rumor is to be believed, then fans should brace themselves for the biggest collaboration of all time as Shankar is famous for making high-end movies.
