Sandalwood Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar death news have surfaced on social media after there were reports that the actor was rushed to a hospital after he suffered a heart attack.
As per reports, Appu was rushed to Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru following his ill health. Sources close to the family say that he is no more. However, there is no official confirmation either from the hospital or the family.
Puneeth, the youngest son of Kannada matinee idol, Dr Rajkumar was last seen in the movie Yuvarathnaa which was a massive hit. The movie released in several languages.
Meanwhile, security around Puneeth Rajkumar’s house has been beefed up following his death, while there is heavy bandobast around Vikram hospital too where he is said to be treated.
As soon as news of his illness broke, all the industry stalwarts including Gurudutt, Ravichandran thronged the hospital to pay him a visit. Karnataka Chief Minister Bommai too is expected to visit the hospital soon.
Many celebs from the entertainment industry including Vivel Oberoi, Sonu Sood, Erica Fernandes and others expressed their grief on social media.
Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan has remembered late Puneeth as “one of the kindest and warmest actors/gentlemen.” He tweeted, “…Praying to the almighty to give Puneeth sir’s family, friends and his ocean of fans the strength to cope with this irreplaceable loss.”
South superstar Mahesh Babu on Friday tweeted that he was “deeply saddened” by the news of Kannada film star Rajkumar’s tragic demise. He tweeted, “Shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news of Puneeth Rajkumar’s demise. One of the most humble people I’ve met and interacted with. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.”
Chiranjeevi expressed shock over Puneeth Rajkumar’s untimely demise. The veteran actor tweeted, “Shocking, devastating and heartbreaking! #PuneethRajkumar gone too soon. Rest in Peace! My deepest sympathies and tearful condolences to the family. A huge loss to the Kannada/Indian film fraternity as a whole. Strength to all to cope with this tragic loss!”
Filmmaker Boney Kapoor wrote, “Deeply shocked to know of the sudden demise of @PuneethRajkumar A powerful actor who won the hearts of people with his incredible body of work. Condolences to the family #RIP #Gonetoosoon #PuneethRajkuma“
Actress Lakshmi Manchu expressed her grief on twitter, “OMG!!!!!!!! Nooooooo. This can’t be true! How can this be? My deepest condolences to the family. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Gone too soon ” she wrote.
Television actress Erica has mourned the untimely demise of Kannada film star Puneeth Rajkumar, “I am in a state of shock right now ! Just cant process this news .. For someone who was particular about his health .. gone way too soon Puneeth gone way too soon #PuneethRajkumar RIP Appu .” she wrote in her tweet.
