Kangana Ranaut has been roped in to play the role of Goddess Sita in ‘The Incarnation-Sita’. The makers have finally confirmed the news.
Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is basking in the success of her latest release Thalaivii has got another biggie in her kitty now. She has won the race to play the role of Goddess Sita in a film. The actress is all set to play the mythological character in her upcoming film SITA-The Incarnation which will be helmed by Alaukik Desai. The film’s story has been written by veteran screenwriter KV Vijayendra Prasad and Desai.
The Queen actress took to her Instagram handle to share the first poster of the film and make the official announcement. She wrote, “The Incarnation- Sita Glad to be on board for the title role with this immensely talented team of artists..With the blessings of Sita Ram …Jai SiyaRam.”
Sita-The Incarnation’s dialogues and lyrics have been penned by Manoj Muntashir.
In an official statement, director Desai said, “Universe does help those who surrender to it with belief. What was a mirage, is now clarity. A dream of a pious character never explored is now a reality. I am ecstatic to bring Kangana Ranaut on board as Sita. This pious journey will change the course of how we perceive our mythology. Thank you SS Studio for your immense support and belief.”
Saloni Sharma of SS Studio, which will be bankrolling the magnum opus said, “As a woman, I couldn’t be happier in welcoming Ms Kangana Ranaut on board our VFX magnum opus, ‘The Incarnation Sita’. The actress is seen all decked up in a red sari with a pallu on her head. She looks unrecognisable and cute as she can be seen posing along with her school friends.
Earlier there were reports that Kareena Kapoor Khan was approached to play the role of Sita, K Vijayendra Prasad has said in an interview to a portal that the actress was never approached for the role, instead he had recommended Kangana’s name for the film. Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut has several exciting movies in her films including ‘Dhaakad’, ‘Tejas’ and ‘Manikarnika Returns’. She will be seen in the role of a spy in ‘Dhaakad’, which also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta. The makers of ‘Dhaakad’ had earlier announced that the flick would release on October 1.
