According to reports, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are currently mulling over names and for the moment have been addressing their younger son as Jeh.
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan became proud parents to their second child in February this year. The couple have since then neither disclosed their newborn son’s identity nor announced his name as they did earlier with Taimur. However, a latest report in Bombay Times reveals that the couple are currently mulling over names and for the moment have been addressing their younger son as Jeh.
Meaning of Name ‘Jeh’–
In Latin, Jeh means a blue crested bird. It is also a popular Parsi name. It means ‘To come, to bring’.
While it is not known if Kareena and Saif will be for sure naming him Jeh, there are a few other names in the race. The duo has also been considering other options to christen their baby boy, which also includes the name of Saif’s father and cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.

While fans have been speculating what will be the name of the second child, here’s a quick throwback when Kareena refused Saif’s baby name idea.
In 2016, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan courted controversy for naming their firstborn after an invader. Reportedly Taimur was inspired by Timur – the founder of the Timurid Empire in Persia and Central Asia, who invaded India in 1398.
However, Saif denied all claims and asserted that Taimur means iron.
In 2018, during the India Today conclave, Kareena Kapoor spoke on her son’s name and how she stood by it despite its controversial baggage.
She said, “The night before I was going to the hospital, Saif asked me, ‘If it’s a boy, are you sure you want to do this? Let’s change the name and call him Faiz. It’s more poetic and romantic.’ And I was like, no. If it’s a boy, I want my son to be a fighter. Taimur means ‘iron’ and I will produce Iron Man. I am proud to name him Taimur.”
While discussing the same topic ahead of her second delivery on the radio show “What Women Want”, Kareena said, “After the whole controversy of Taimur, both Saif and me have not even thought about it. We’re like going to leave it last minute and then spring a surprise.”
As for disclosing their newborn son’s identity, Kareena has been careful of sharing photos which do not give a glimpse of his face. On Mother’s Day this Year, the actress had shared an adorable photo of Taimur holding his younger brother. However, the little one’s face was covered with his hands. “And these two give me hope… for a better tomorrow Happy Mother’s Day to all you beautiful, strong mothers out there…Keep the faith,” Kareena had captioned the photo.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be next seen alongside Aamir Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha, while Saif has few films in his kitty for release, namely Bhoot Police, Bunty Aur Babli 2 and Adipurush.
