A recent remark made by Jasmin Bhasin on Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij seems to have irked netizens. Now, the actress has posted her clarification.
Latest promo for season two of Ladies Vs Gentlemen showed Jasmin Bhasin and Jay Bhanushali getting into a heated argument, with her even taking aim at his wife, Mahhi Vij. The show premiered on Flipkart Video on Saturday.
Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh asked what percentage of men think they are better in decision-making roles than women. Bigg Boss 15 contestant Jay argued that women can’t even decide what to cook at home. “Woh bhi pooch ke banati hai, ‘Kya khaoge?’ (They do not even cook without asking us what we want to eat).” Devoleena Bhattacharjee said that women ask men what they want to eat because they want to avoid ‘nakhre (tantrums)’ later.
However, Jasmin claimed that Jay is venting out his unhappiness at Mahhi. “Yeh apni biwi ki frustration iss show pe utaarta hai (He is taking out the frustration he feels because of his wife on this show),” she said. She then addressed him directly, “Teri badkismati hai teri biwi aisi hai (It’s your misfortune that your wife is like this).”
Now, the Naagin actress has issued a clarification.
On Twitter, Jasmin penned a note stating that her comment was all in fun and the video was badly edited. She mentioned that she absolutely loves Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij and her comment was only meant to be funny. She wrote, “To the people writing about my remark on Mahi on @FlipkartVideo show,it was a fun and funny remark jo hum mazaak mein bol rahe they because jay and I were in a debate and unfortunately it was a bad edit . I absolutely love jay and Mahi. Best couple I know and I just love them.”
Mahhi Vij replied to the Jasmin’s tweet and wrote, “Tu meri jaan tu kuch bhi bol sakti hai Haq hai tera mujhpe tara ki” However, on social media, Jasmin Bhasin received quite a bit of flack for her comments.
