She also posted an image of the memory stone of Irrfan at their Igatpuri farmhouse.
Sutapa Sikdar took to her Instagram account and wrote, “Nothing is forever except memories #farmhouse #missingyou.” She shared an image of Irrfan’s memory stone in their Igatpuri farmhouse. “We live because you reside in our soul – Irrfan Forever,” read the memory stone. a couple of beautiful flowers were placed ahead of the stone. In September 2020, after a lover had expressed their disappointment over the condition of the actor’s grave, his son Babil had written, “Baba liked it wild, Ayaan is staying strong :* mamma recently wrote about the wilderness around when a number of his fans were worried that it looked unkempt, i want you to know, he always always wished to be surrounded by the grass and therefore the plants and therefore the trees. Waste and plastic is usually faraway from that wilderness.”
Sutapa Sikdar had written that ladies aren’t allowed in Muslim graveyards then, she has planted the raat ki raani in Igatpuri where there’s a memory stone of the late actor.
“Women aren’t allowed in Muslim graveyards.hence I even have planted the raat Ki Rani in Igatpuri where I even have a memory stone of his…where I even have buried his fav things .I own that place Where I can sit for hours with none one telling me I can’t sit next to him. he’s there in his spirit. But that doesn’t mean the graveyard shouldn’t be tended ..but as far as how may be a very questionable thing…” wrote Babil .
Life of Pie actor Irrfan Khan passed away in April 2020 after a two-year-long battle with neuroendocrine tumour. he’s survived by his wife Sutapa Sikdar and his two sons- Babil and Ayan.
