Rajinikanth took to his social media handle to launch daughter Soundarya’s voice-based social media platform, Hoote. Here’s all you need to know about the new social media platform.
South Superstar Rajinikanth launched his daughter Soundarya Vishagan’s voice-based app called Hoote with his voice note. The actor had shared a statement on Sunday that October 25 will remain a special day in his life for two reasons. While he received his Dadasaheb Phalke Award, his daughter Soundarya launched a new social media platform on October 25.
Rajinikanth shared two voice notes on the app. Soundarya revealed that a voice-note from her dad inspired her to develop the app.
The south superstar is currently in New Delhi as he received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award from the Vice President of India, Mr Venkaiah Naidu. He received a standing ovation from the dignitaries and the people present at the venue in Delhi.
Taking to Twitter, Rajnikanth shared a link to his profile on Hoote. He wrote, “Hoote – Voice based social media platform, from India for the world (sic).”
What Is Hoote?
Hoote is said to support eight native Indian languages, and three international ones at the moment. Indian languages include Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, and Gujarati. The platform allows users to express themselves in voice notes, add background music to their hoote posts, and add images to better express themselves.
Where to download the app?
The Hoote app is available for download on Google Play store for free. The app asks you to choose your preferred Indian or international language on boot, and then dives directly into the registration process. It offers you options to follow celebrities like Rajinikanth, Gautam Gambhir, news channels, politicians, and fan pages as well.
The new voice based site posts of users you follow will show up in your feed. The voice note can be paused and played easily. The app post can be liked, reposted, and reshared as well. Users can even comment below the hoote postto increase engagement.
The app launched by superstar Rajinikanth allows users to record a voice note for a maximum of up to 60 seconds only. Once the recording is done with, users can add a caption, background music, and an image to the Hoote post. The platform offers a variety of background music to choose from. The music is segregated into categories like emotions, environmental, nature, religion, and native. Users can preview these background music options to understand which one fits their voice note best.
Hoote also offers the option to keep the comments off, if needed. However, the comments are kept on by default. The caption needs to be 120 characters or less. Users can also easily delete their hoote posts from their profiles by tapping the profile icon.
Meanwhile, Superstar Rajinikanth who was honoured with the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 67th National Film Awards ceremony, dedicated his Dadasaheb Phalke Award to his teacher K Balachander, brother Sathyanarayana Rao Gaekwad, friend Raj Bahadhur, to all film fraternity, producers, directors, technicians, co-artists, distributors, theatre owners and to his fans & Tamil people.
