Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar has been accused him of domestic violence. She has filed a case in court and has made shocking claims in her plea.
Bollywood rapper and actor Yo Yo Honey Singh‘s wife, Shalini Talwar, has lodged a case of domestic violence against the rapper. She has filed a plea in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. The court has issued notice to the singer to respond to the allegations, before August 28. While we are yet to know Singh’s side of the story; details from Shalini’s plea filed in court have now surfaced online and it’s sure to leave you shocked.
Honey Singh and Shalini have been married since 2011. Before that, they were in a relationship for over a decade. However, it was only in 2014 when everyone got to know about Honey Singh’s marital status. The singer didn’t want to let his marriage come in the way of his career. Turns out it was during this time when he had lost his calm on Shalini by “mercilessly beating” her, as claimed by his wife. In her plea, she has mentioned how Honey Singh thought she leaked the wedding photos and “panicked and mercilessly beat her.”
In addition to this, The rapper’s wife also claimed that the ‘saiyaan ji’ singer had s*xual relationships with several women. Noting the incident when she confronted him for being s*xually involved with a female colleague during the shooting of ‘Brown Rang De,’ Talwar alleges her husband Honey Singh threw a liquor bottle at her. She has also named mother-in-law Bhupinder Kaur, father-in-law Sarabjit Singh and sister-in-law Sneha Singh in her plea. The report stated that Shalini has sought protection orders and “other reliefs against the atrocities committed” by her in-laws.
In her petition, She added that he also stopped wearing his wedding ring, saying that is not good luck for him to be wearing diamonds.
Talwar sought direction from the court to her ask her husband to pay Rs 10 crore as interim compensation for perpetrating domestic violence on her.
Furthermore, she prayed the court to order the singer to pay a rent of Rs 5 lakh every month for fully furnished accommodation in Delhi so as to enable her to live by herself and not remain dependent on her widowed mother.
Besides this, she also sought to restrain the singer from selling or creating any third person interest in their shared household and from selling her dowry articles. PTI AAK SA
Following Shalini Talwar filing of domestic violence, the Delhi Court has issued a notice to Yo Yo Honey Singh to file his response by August 28.
In the meantime, the court has also passed interim orders in favour of Shalini and restraining Honey Singh from disposing off his jointly owned property.
Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shalini were childhood sweethearts who dated for almost ten years before tying the knot on January 23, 2011. They got married at Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar Gurudwara in the presence of their family and friends.
Honey Singh rose to fame with songs such as Dope Shope, Brown Rang and then with Bollywood songs such as Lungi Dance and Sunny Sunny.
