Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif’s Fans in the UAE will not get to watch Sooryavanshi in cinemas on Thursday and there’s an interesting reason behind it.
The much-anticipated Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif-starrer cops action drama, ‘Sooryavanshi‘, is all set to enthral the audience this Diwali weekend as the film hits theatres on November 5. The Rohit Shetty helmed flick which was originally slated for release in cinemas on March 24, 2020, was delayed amid the outbreak of the deadly novel coronavirus and the subsequent lockdowns imposed to curb its spread. Almost delayed by a year and a half, the film is finally set to hit the screens this Friday and the fans and cinema enthusiasts couldn’t be more excited. The film is expected to revive the theatre business not just in India, but in some international countries too where Bollywood is equally watched as it is here. And while moviegoers in India will have to wait for two more days to see Akshay and Katrina cast their magic onscreen, cinephiles in the United Arab Emirates, however, were expecting to watch ‘Sooryavanshi’ a day ahead of its India release, on November 4, since films generally release in the UAE on Thursdays. But as per a report in News18.com, cinephiles in the middle eastern country will not get to watch the film a day before its world premiere.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers want audiences across the world to watch ‘Sooryavanshi’ on the big screen on the same day. But that isn’t all. Numerology too has a lot to do with that decision it seems.
A source was quoted telling the entertainment portal, “As everyone knows by now, both Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar are huge believers in numerology. They have been told to release the film on the 5th as it would prove lucky for them. Due to these reasons, Sooryavanshi won’t have a Thursday release in UAE or any other country.”

The latest song from the movie titled “Najaa” is out. The song is a remixed version of the Punjabi song “Na Ja” by singer Pav Dhaira. The remixed version has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi and sung by Dhaira himself.
