Actor Sachin Shroff who recently enthralled audiences in the role of Hukum Singh in the MX Player series Aashram has bagged an interesting role in Double XL the upcoming film starring Sonakshi Sinha.
Double XL the film that will dwell on the subject of fat-shaming will see Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi playing the lead roles. This Summer 2022 theatrical release film is a social comedy written by Mudassar Aziz and directed by Satramm Ramani. The film is produced by T-Series, Wakaoo Films and Elemen3 Entertainment. As per a source, “The shoot of the film is complete and it will be seen in the theatres in the Summer this year.”

Double XL explores the journey of two plus-size women — Rajshree Trivedi (Qureshi) from Meerut and Saira Khanna (Sinha) from New Delhi as they navigate society’s beauty standards.
“It is a very important, fun and entertaining film. I can’t wait to share it with everyone. I really believe that social change happens through fun, commercial, and family entertainer films,” Qureshi, who currently stars in the ZEE5 series Mithya, told PTI. But not every social responsibility should fall on filmmakers, she pointed out.

Produced by T-Series, Wakaoo Films and Mudassar Aziz, Double XL is scheduled to be released in 2022.
