Bigg Boss OTT Contestant Raqesh Bapat opened up about participating the show and his game plan in the house.
As ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ premiered digitally on Sunday (August 8), the viewers will now be glued to their mobile phones to get updates on their favorite reality show. Unlike previous years, ‘Bigg Boss’ this year launched on the OTT platform, Voot and will be hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar.
With the digital edition, fans will be able to watch all of the big drama and action from the house live 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Apart from that, ‘Big Boss’ viewers will be treated to a one-hour special on Voot. Viewers will have access to exclusive cuts, round-the-clock content drops, and a fully interactive version with celebrities.

An actor as well as known to be an artist and sculptor, Raqesh Bapat seems to be the surprise package of the Bigg Boss OTT house this season. The actor was a top pick for all the female contestants on the show in the opening episode of the season and his charm seems to have struck quite a chord outside as well amongst female fans.
Before entering the show Raqesh spoke about his thoughts and gameplay in the house, He told IWMBuzz, “The house always needs a mature mind and I think just because one is mature doesn’t mean they won’t give content. Yes I may not get into a physical fight but that doesn’t mean I won’t have my say and my opinions to put across.”
“I am going to be myself and the house will have a creative member this year and I think that in itself is different from the previous seasons. I want my audience to see me outside my roles, I want to actually show that this game can be played maturely, you can still give content and emerge as a winner,” He added.

Raqesh made his Bollywood debut in 2001 with the film ‘Tum Bin’ and then featured in ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar’ in 2002. He worked in several other movies such as ‘Heroine’, ’Jai Santoshi Maa’, ’Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai’ and ‘Gippi’. He has also worked in Marathi industry.
After Films, Raqesh Bapat made his TV debut with the show ‘Saat Phere: Saloni Ka Safar’ in 2005. He went on to work in various TV shows including ‘Ek Packet Umeed’, ‘Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?’, ‘Qubool Hai’ and ‘Seven- The Ashvamedha Prophecy’.
Not many know this but Raqesh Bapat is also associated with a non-profit organisation called ‘Shyamchi Aai Foundation’. The actor’s sister Sheetal is one of the founding members of the organisation.
Raqesh Bapat married his ‘Maryada’ co-star Ridhi Dogra in May 2011, however, in February 2019, the couple separated with mutual consent.
Raqesh Bapat and Ridhi Dogra participated in dance based reality show for couples ‘Nach Baliye 6’. Bigg Boss OTT will be his second reality show.
