Ranbir Kapoor’s film Shamshera is scheduled to release on July 22. Earlier, Ranbir told that his father Rishi Kapoor had warned him about doing the film.
Ranbir Kapoor is returning to the big screen after almost four years through the film Shamshera. Ranbir Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. During the film promotion, Ranbir Kapoor is also sharing many secrets related to his personal life. Ranbir told that his father Rishi Kapoor had warned him before signing the film Shamshera. Rishi Kapoor had said that director Karan Malhotra is a very strict director. Significantly, Rishi Kapoor has worked in Karan Malhotra’s film Agneepath.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ranbir Kapoor said, ‘My father Rishi Kapoor had warned me and said- “You will regret a lot. Karan Malhotra is a very strict director. He takes a lot of takes in any given shot, he gets a lot of work done so be prepared! Now when we saw the film, it seems that our hard work has paid off. The shooting of the film was very tiring for me and Vaani Kapoor. We were both covered in dust. In such a situation, working in the film was no less than a nightmare.”
Ranbir Kapoor further says in the interview, “In the scorching heat of Mumbai, we were shooting in woolen clothes. Apart from this, my beard was very thick. In the midst of all this, we had to take action. So it was very difficult.” On returning to films after four years, Ranbir said, “It was a long time. I have two big films releasing. First film Shamshera and then Brahmastra. A lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears have gone into both these films. The good thing is that both are releasing on the big screen. Talking about the work-front, apart from Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Brahmastra. The actor is going to work with his wife Alia Bhatt for the first time in Brahmastra. Apart from this, he will be seen in Luv Ranjan’s film opposite Shraddha Kapoor. At the same time, Ranbir will also be seen in Sandeep Vanga’s film Animal starring Rashmika Mandanna.
