Amit Sadh and Sushant Singh Rajput made their debut with the movie ‘Kai Po Che‘. Both became friends on the sets of this film. Sushant is no more with us today. More than 2 years have passed since Sushant’s death, but still Amit gets emotional seeing Sushant’s name. In an interview recently, Amit spoke volumes about Sushant. Speaking to Chetan Bhagat in his podcast, Amit shared many memories. Also made a shocking revelation…
“We spent a year and a half together doing ‘Kai Po Che’. I, Sushant and Rajkumar Rao have become very good friends. Just like lovers, when the news of Sushant’s death came and I was shocked. Wanted to meet Sushant. I was trying for that. I asked one of his acquaintances for his number. I wanted to talk to him. Because at that time I was hearing a lot about him. But I didn’t get the number. He had changed his number. The close person told me that Sushant has locked himself away. He is not picking up the phone. The person said no and so I stopped getting the number. Then I got busy with my work. But I should have met Sushant…, said Amit. Amit Sadh Wanted To Leave Bollywood
Recalling Sushant Singh’s passing away, Amit Sadh said that he wanted to quit Bollywood. He said, “I was so affected that I wanted to quit the industry. I was ready to leave.” On being asked why, he said, “Chid gaya tha maine. Bada tough hai yeh industry (I was annoyed. This industry is hard).” Amit also revealed that Sushant’s passing affected him a lot and added “Mere liye boht badi cheez thi aur hamesha rahegi. “Between the ages of 16 and 18, I attempted suicide four times. So I know the mindset of a suicidal person. Now I am very strong. But I know that a person who commits suicide is not his fault, it is society’s fault. People around them are at fault.” Amit also disclosed that I have gone through this.
