In its opening weekend, Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s Adipurush reaches the coveted 100 crore mark in the Hindi market. Adipurush had a fantastic first weekend run in Hindi, despite the possibility of a short-lived trend due to mixed reviews. The film amassed approximately 110 crores in just three days.

What’s remarkable is that Prabhas didn’t even visit Mumbai for promotional activities. There were no press interviews for the Hindi media or audience. Notably, he didn’t even release a pre-recorded interview for Telugu audiences. Usually, promotions play a crucial role in attracting audiences to cinemas, and star heroes are no exception. However, in this case, Prabhas’ poster alone drew the masses and filled the theaters. This feat may not be possible for any other Telugu star as they would need to put in their blood and sweat to promote their films to North audiences.
Adipurush Box Office Records
Meanwhile, Adipurush has become the second film after Pathaan to earn Rs 300 crore within three days this year. While Pathaan earned Rs 313 crore gross worldwide in the first weekend, the Prabhas-starrer has minted Rs 340 crore. The box office collection was announced amid a massive backlash that the film is receiving.
The makers also announced that they will be removing certain dialogues that led to umbrage in many parts of India. The film has been called out for disrespecting the epic Ramayan, which led to its director Raut and dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla speaking up. Shukla, in a tweet, said that despite him writing over 4000 lines in Adipurush, sentiments got hurt “because of five lines.”
