Actor Emraan Hashmi has always kept his personal and professional lives far apart from each other. He was seen recently in Mumbai Saga, and will soon be seen in Chehre.
Actor Emraan Hashmi, who has earned the nickname “serial kisser” for his on-screen kisses, says that his wife Parveen still sulks about his kisses and calms down only after Emraan gifts her a bag for each film he kisses in. however, little is known about his family’s, especially his wife Parveen Shahani’s reaction to his intimate scenes.
During his 2104 appearance on Koffee With Karan, Emraan had revealed how Parveen reacted to his intimate scenes in ‘Murder’. Parveen, who was apparently unaware of the scenes, dug her nails into Emraan’s skin out of anxiety. He said, “In the first seat my wife digging her nails into my hand like ‘what the hell have you done and you haven’t prepared me for this and what are you doing because this is not Bollywood’. When the hands came off, there were four jabs… i was injured…I was bleeding.”
Emraan had then added saying that though his wife has not accepted this side to his job they have reached a common ground. “Right now there is a deal that we have…The deal is I take her shopping and she probably swipes the card close to seven-digit numbers,” Emraan said.
For the another time, At the launch of his book, “The Kiss Of Life”, Emraan was asked about his wife’s reaction to his kisses. Emraan said, “She still sulks. She doesn’t hit me as hard now, earlier it used to be with a bag, now it’s just with the hand. So she has kind of come down over the years.”
Does Emraan calm her down by buying her expensive jewellery? “Always buy her bags, for each kiss, for each film. She has got a cabinet filled with bags, there’s one cupboard dedicated to bags,” he said.
Considering the various kisses he shared with Nargis Fakhri in his last release “Azhar”, did he have to actually buy that many bags? Emraan said, “As many times, but bag is only once. We’ve had a barter deal; that way I told her that i will be broke.

“Don’t take money for everything, take money for the film and buy a bag from it.”
Emraan started his career with numerous kissing scenes in almost all of his films like “Murder”, “Zeher”, “Aksar”, “Aashiq Banaya Apne” and “Gangster” among others and earned the title of “serial kisser”.
When films like “Shanghai”, where he didn’t kiss, flopped, it had been reported that kisses were lucky for his films. When asked about it, he said, “Thankfully some films where I have not kissed have also flopped and a few where I’ve kissed have also flopped.”
For the uninformed, Emraan and Parveen have married for over 14 years now. On December 14, 2017, the actor had shared a post on Twitter saying, “11 years of marriage and counting !! Looking forward to annoying her for many many …many more.”
