Jersey Box Office Collection Day 3: Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Jersey’ is in bad shape at the box office. The film could not even earn Rs 14 crore at the ticket window in three days. While on the other hand the earnings of KGF: Chapter 2 are creating havoc.
The first weekend of Shahid Kapoor’s most awaited film Jersey is over. As expected, every film releasing before ‘KGF 2’ would be swept away in its tsunami, that’s exactly what happened. With a lot of thought, the makers of Jersey released it on April 22, to no avail. Shahid Kapoor too could not replicate the charisma of his last two films ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Padmavat‘.
In fact, last year too, the promotion of ‘Jersey’ was started before the third wave of Corona, but later its release date was postponed after the theaters were closed. By doing this the cost of the film increased and again promotion was not given much attention. On the other hand, the tsunami of ‘KGF 2′ is going on at the box office. Jersey Box Office Collection Day 3:
According to the initial figures, the film ‘Jersey’ has done a total business of about Rs 9.50 crore in the first three days of its release. Jersey collected 5.75 crores on Sunday.
Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey got off to a slow start at the box office from day one. Jersey had earned only 4 crores on Friday. According to the initial estimates of trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the film has done business of 5 crores on the third day. From which it is clear that director Prashanth Neel’s KGF 2 influenced the numbers of Shahid’s film. Ramesh Bala tweeted, “Early estimates for Sunday 24th April – KGF 2 – 25 cr in India Net for Hindi films, Jersey – 5 cr.” Meanwhile, as per reports, there was an overall Hindi occupancy of 24.21 per cent for Jersey on Sunday, April 24.

Overall, it would not be wrong to say that Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Jersey’ has succumbed to the Kannada film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ which is making a splash in Hindi. The film ‘Jersey’ where the collection of the first weekend itself seems to be dying to reach the total of Rs 15 crores. So the same film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ Hindi has hit a half century in the second weekend. The film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ has earned Rs 11.56 crore on Friday, Rs 18.25 crore on Saturday and around Rs 25 crore on Sunday in the second weekend.
