Malaika Arora opened up about the time she got divorced from Arbaaz Khan and how at that time she felt like ‘the whole world is crashing’.
Bollywood actress Malaika Arora is always been in news for her sizzling style and fashion statement. Malaika is currently dating actor Arjun Kapoor, but before that she was Arbaaz Khan’s wife. Arbaaz and Malaika divorced in 2017. The news of the couple’s separation came as a big shock to their fans. Now Malaika has said that she was afraid of one thing after separating from Arbaaz.
Malaika Arora recently gave an interview to Pinkvilla. In the interview, she said that she decided to become a single mother after the divorce. But, after this decision, is the whole world falling apart on us? Malaika says she feels that way. The biggest reason is that she wanted to be a single working woman and that was the most important thing for her, said Malaika.
“It’s not easy for anyone to be single or single. It wasn’t for me either. When I decided to be a single mother, I was most scared. I felt weak. “When I took that decision or that step to be a single mother, I didn’t (pause). At that point, you always feel that the whole world is crashing on your head and how you gonna manage I think that’s a very normal human reaction.”
She added, “But having said that I also knew that it is something I have to take on. I have to be responsible. I have a son, he is growing up, he needs me more than ever. I have to be that right example. I have to be able to steer him in the right direction and at the same time let him make his own mistakes. She further added, “Yes, I did feel scared, vulnerable, frightened, all of those emotions. But I also felt that I had to take one day at a time. I couldn’t take giant leaps because that is just not possible. I had to see what every day would unfold for me. At that point, the only thinking about I needs to be, not if I am a single mother but I need to be a working single mother. For me, that was more important.”
After parting ways with Arbaaz Khan in 2017, Malaika made her relationship official with Arjun Kapoor in 2019. Arhaan shares a great bond with Arjun. Arjun, Malaika and Arhaan have also been spotted together in the city multiple times.
