Actor Kartik Aaryan is collaborating with Ekta Kapoor for her next production venture Freddy, which is being directed by Shashanka Ghosh. The actor is excited to ‘dwell in the world’ of this dark romantic thriller.
“Who is Freddy?” You might ask. This introduction needs a drum roll – or rather some suspenseful staccato played at a steadily increasing pace.
Producer Ekta Kapoor in collaboration with Jay Shewakramani are all set to kickstart their next production – Freddy. The film is a romantic thriller starring Kartik Aaryan in the titular role! Freddy goes on-floors on 1st August in Mumbai and is directed by Shashanka Ghosh.
Incidentally Shashanka’s last outing ‘Veere Di Wedding’ with Balaji Telefilms was a super hit and now they’re teaming up again! Full of unpredictable twists and sharp turns, characters in this movie are set to take us on a dark and chilling roller coaster ride, where the lines between love and obsession blur!
Freddy is jointly produced by Balaji Telefilms and Northern Lights Films.
Ekta Kapoor, who’s known for genre-bending content is excited as the movie is all set to go on floors “I’m thrilled to have Kartik on board. Kartik Aaryan will start shooting for his upcoming ‘Dark Romantic Thriller’ Freddy This week in Mumbai. Multiple sets have been put up in the city and Aaryan is expected to juggle between the shoots of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Freddy. After completing the two films, he moves onto the official remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which is again being produced by Ekta Kapoor. The actor had recently announced Captain India with Hansal Mehta.
Apart from Freddy, Kartik has Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Hansal Mehta’s Captain India and the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which originally starred Allu Arjun. Kartik will also be seen in Sameer Vidwans’ directorial, which was earlier titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha.
